# Helm Chart Installation

> Production and air-gapped installation via Helm chart (coming soon).

## Planned capabilities

The Helm chart will support:

* **Production deployment** — Install Pastures as a Rancher extension via the Extensions catalog
* **Air-gapped environments** — Bundle the extension for environments without internet access
* **Version pinning** — Deploy specific Pastures versions with standard Helm upgrade workflows
* **Custom registries** — Pull extension assets from private OCI registries

## Current installation method

For now, use [Developer Load](/installation/developer-load) to install the extension. This works for development, evaluation, and small-scale deployments.
